Easier mobile access to the EBSCO databases

EBSCOhost Mobile 2.0 provides seamless access to the EBSCOhost interfaces via mobile devices without being forced to use/create separate EBSCOhost Mobile profiles. Using mobile detection technology, EBSCOhost recognizes whether or not users are connecting from a mobile device, and sends them to the appropriate version of the interface. Users accessing from a smartphone or other mobile devices are presented with an attractive, easily searchable mobile interface.

IMF eLibrary trial

IMF is offering free online access to the IMF eLibrary database, which provides direct access to the IMF’s periodicals, books, working papers and studies, and data and statistical tools. You will find information and perspective on macroeconomics, globalization, development, trade and aid, technical assistance, demographics, emerging markets, policy advice, poverty reduction, and so much more. The publications are available from the university's LAN until 30st June 2013.

Success of Corvinus students in the EconBiz competition

EconBiz The first international EconBiz Open student competition was held from March 18th to March 31st 2013. Because the library has recently joined the EconBiz Partner Network, Corvinus students were also invited to participate in the competition. Their participation was successful: Markosz Panajotu and Enikő Molnár are the first and second international winners, the third national winner is Csilla Szente. Congratulations!

Corvinus Library has joined the EconBiz Partner Network

An agreement of cooperation was signed on March 21st, 2013 by Zsuzsanna Nagy (director of CUB Central Library) and Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann (director of ZBW German National Library of Economics), by which the library has joined the partner network of the EconBiz database, the search engine for economic information.

GreenFILE: free database from EBSCO

GreenFILE is a free research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment. Featuring hundreds of scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports, GreenFILE offers a unique perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect ecology. The total number of records is approximately 612,000, and full text is provided for more than 9,100 records from open access titles. The database is freely available.

DART-Europe: The Euroepan e-theses portal

DART-EuropeDART-Europe is a partnership of research libraries and library consortia who are working together to improve global access to European research theses. The DART-Europe partners help to provide researchers with a single European portal for the discovery of electronic theses and dissertations. The Ph.D. theses defended at the Corvinus University of Budapest can be found there, too, through the Corvinus Ph.D. dissertations archive. The database is freely available without restrictions.

MathSciNet is available again

The MathSciNet database is available again from the whole territory of the Corvinus University. MathSciNet is a bibliographical database for Mathematics with more than 1.2 million records, published by the American Mathematical Society and is the online version of Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications.
